RSVP and all details here: https://www.groupraise.com/events/252618-animal-guardians-horse-rescue-inc-at-lucille-s-bbq Why we're raising: We are a public non-profit equine rescue retirement sanctuary program for senior equines with special needs. We are an adoptions partner with the Ventura and Los Angeles County Animal Care & Control agencies. Over the past 13 years, we have saved the lives of 83 precious souls, bound for needless euthanasia at the shelters, and horse slaughter at the auctions, just because they are no longer rideable. Now, we are a premier rescue sanctuary program in Simi Valley, providing wonderful community equine assisted learning Horse Powered Reading experiences for youth age 8 - 18, and our horses need your support! We hope you can join us in eating out for a good cause! P.S. Please feel free to invite — and share this event with — your friends and family. And if you can't make it to the event, please donate on the event link above and encourage others to donate as well. We can't do this without you! #groupraise #lucillesbbq #animalguardianshorserescueinc #supportlocalbusinesses #fundraiser horse powered reading session 1 - July 22, 2023Great successful session with our two oldie but goodies, Rusty and Corey! We had a great time! In this session, we worked on vocabulary and category sorting in the Word Herd imagery activity. We also worked on using descriptive language to compare and contrast a horse vs. a pony (Corey vs. Rusty) and to use multiple meaning words and phrases related to horses/ranching. We also learned about horse breeds and used adjectives in sentences and answered open ended "why" questions to expand on our ideas and share our creativity. We also created a life size Venn Diagram and designed our own to take home to remember the words and concepts we learned. The horses enjoyed this learning experience almost as much as the kids!
Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. is very grateful to WeatherBeeta, Inc. (Lynne Westwood) for your generous donation of $400 for your Blankets For Bales campaign on May 26, 2023. We have used this gift to contribute towards the hay and feed for our senior sanctuary horses in permanent residence with our organization. We send our love and heartfelt gratitude to WeatherBeeta for your support of our cause!
