Rakush came to us on Feb. 1, 2025. He's such a precious old man. He's been slowly gaining some weight and becoming more confident to allow us to catch him and handle him. He had his first hoof trim by our amazing Farrier, George Infante, and even though it took him almost 30 minutes to allow himself to be caught, once haltered, he seemed to fall right to sleep. We will be doing a group training using highlights from the Forever Foundation Training Program on the principles of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, diving deeper into the concept of Horsenality. For Volunteers and Fosters, this will be a "must attend" event!  Join our Volunteers and Fosters in participating in the Forever Foundation Training Program with Carter Ranch Horse, sponsored by the Humane World For Animals (Humane Society of the United States). The first 60 day challenge begins April 16 and the program runs all the way through November. We are enrolling several of our horses in the program this year. We hope to see tons of fun and learning through this amazing program.
