Josie's Life Saving Surgery on October 20, 2023
Update (October 22): This is Deborah writing on behalf of our amazing volunteer, Eve, who has begun a critical gofundme fundraiser to help us with emergency surgery vet bills for our newest in take Josie. Can you please help make a donation and spread the word with this link to others you know who care about animals? Thank you!

Our newest in-take, Josie, was discovered to have severe gas colic and stones, and underwent emergency life-saving surgery at West Coast Equine Hospital on October 20, 2023. She had only hours to live, and we had no other ethical and moral choice but to save her life. Josie is only 18 years old and came to us just three weeks ago. She had been having severe difficulties gaining weight due to this problem and her family needed help. Now we need help! This surgery will cost the rescue $10,000 and will deplete our account. Please help donate and reach out to find sponsors and Foundation Grants. Josie and her forever AGHR Family need your support and love at this very difficult time. Thank you.
