 Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. Announces New Partnership with Human Animal Support Services (HASS)! The Project Aims to Transform the Shelter System through Innovative Programs and Services.
We have been selected to be a Partner Organization of the Human Animal Support Services (HASS) project. This international coalition is designed to transform the animal sheltering system with innovative solutions and unite with human service organizations to support both people and shelter equines in need. Recognizing a desperate need for horse owner support and social services, organizations across the country came together to create HASS by reimagining a welfare system that solved pet and people problems alike. By embracing four distinctive pathways, Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. will provide a range of services and solutions to better support the people and companion equines of Simi Valley, CA. These include services that expand the shelter’s capacity for care within communities and address key issues horse owners face daily such as economic hardship, access to critical veterinary and farrier care or housing-related challenges. Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. is among an elite group of more than 400 progressive animal welfare industry professions to become partner organizations. HASS also actively collaborates with top industry leaders such as the Humane Society of the U.S., Shelter Animals Count, National Animal Care & Control Association and more.
