fill your home with love by adopting

Fritz is a small Welsh Pony type gelding. We believe he looks almost like a purebred, but we have no proof of registry. He is a 11.1hh pony who originally came from the Kaufman KP in Texas and went to a private owner in Santa Paula. He was surrendered to us for financial hardship reasons with several other horses and ponies.
Fritz is a shy, sensitive, curious, playful and intelligent pony gelding. He is learning to trust multiple people and is now good with men, women, teens and young children for basic foundation groundwork and handling. He has great potential, willingness and joy when it is his turn to be handled at the barn. He comes right up to the gate and puts his head out, ready to be haltered and go to the round pen to work.
We consider his horsenality to be mostly a right-brained extrovert. He can be dominant towards other horses during feeding time. With carrots/treats, he is "in your pocket," but he does not need them. Fritz still has some trust issues, and some 4-year-old baby behavior, and his adopter needs to know the difference, so he needs a slow-moving leader who is gentle, confident and kind — he wants badly to trust. He is looking for an adopter/adoptive family to give his all to. He has a heart of gold and tons of try!
As with all of our horses, Fritz is current on his vaccines, dewormer, teeth exam and farrier trims. He is barefoot, sound, healthy and an easy keeper.
