girl scout troop 65417 earns their "animal helpers" badge with AGHR

We enjoyed our morning with a Simi Valley Girl Scouts Troop, who came to learn about horse care, how to groom and pick hooves, how to identify the body parts of a horse by hand-painting our mini horses, and how to use leadership skills with horses in leading a horse. They also learned additional horsemanship skills by taking our minis through a mini obstacle course in the arena. This was a wonderful opportunity for hands-on experiential learning and the girls all learned how much care, time and effort and attention it takes to care for and own horses. This was a great learning experience for all.
